SMS Notifications & Opt-In

Program name

Rentigen Notifications — operational SMS messages sent by Rentigen LLC (rentigen.com) to property managers, vendors, workers, owners, tenants, and guests who use the Rentigen platform.

How users opt in (Call to Action)

SMS is off by default. End users opt in only after they create a Rentigen account and explicitly enable text notifications. There are two opt-in points, both behind authentication:

  1. Account profile toggle. A signed-in user opens Profile → Notifications, enters a mobile number, and flips the "Text me job updates" switch to ON. The following consent line is shown directly above the switch:
    "By enabling SMS, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Rentigen at the number above (job dispatch, day-of reminders, escalations, account alerts). Consent is not a condition of using Rentigen. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel. See our Privacy Policy and Terms."
  2. Vendor / worker onboarding. When a vendor or worker accepts an invite to join an organization, the same consent language is shown next to the mobile-number field with an unchecked checkbox: "I agree to receive SMS notifications from Rentigen as described above." The checkbox must be ticked for SMS to be enabled — phone number alone does not constitute opt-in.

We do not collect mobile numbers from web forms, landing pages, third-party lists, or any unauthenticated source. Numbers added by an organization admin on a teammate's behalf are stored but SMS remains disabled until that teammate signs in and confirms opt-in themselves.

Message types

  • Job / task dispatch and assignment
  • Day-of confirmation reminders
  • Escalation alerts when a job is at risk
  • Account alerts (login, payout, billing)
  • Operational notifications (schedule changes, cancellations)

Rentigen does not send marketing or promotional SMS.

Message frequency

Frequency varies based on user activity. A typical worker receives 2–10 messages per day during active work periods; admins typically receive 1–5 per day; tenants/owners receive only occasional transactional messages.

Fees

Message and data rates may apply. Rates are determined by your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

HELP and STOP

Reply HELP (or INFO, SUPPORT) to any Rentigen text for assistance. Reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to opt out. After opt-out you will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages. To opt back in, reply START or re-enable the toggle in your Rentigen profile.

Privacy

Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in consent will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing with subprocessors that support the SMS program (currently Twilio) is limited to delivering messages you have consented to receive. This category of personal information is not shared for cross-context behavioral advertising.
